BREEDING MANAGEMENT OF LACTATING ANIMALS

In order to minimize the caving interval animal must conceive with in 3 months post caving to achieve this target involution of the uterus and health of reproductive system is imperative. Normally involution occur with in 45 days post caving involution period may increase due to rough handling during caving retained placenta and prolepses. If animal show symptoms of heat with in the 45 days then she should not be inseminate. If the animal not show the symptoms of heat that may be attributed to;

1.careless attitude in heat detection

2.silent heat

3.short estrous pried

4.an estrous due to mineral deficiency

Detect the heat and do treatment accordingly;

Mineral deficiency also lead to cystic ovaries;

Cyclomate injection and Lutalize injection used for heat induction.

Dermaraline and Delmazine injection used for cystic ovary.
